Dementia

Overview

RPM 216 - Learn to define various types of dementia and analyze the general progression of the disease.  Dementia is a serious chronic illness that can be monitored with remote patient monitoring devices.

Trainees will be able to work with clients who have Dementia and use RPM for monitoring. At the end of the badge, trainees will be able to do the following: 

  1. Define Dementia  
  2. Explain the basic diagnosis/symptoms of Dementia
  3. Analyze the general progression of the disease  
  4. Explain how Dementia is a serious chronic illness but one that can be maintained with monitoring  
  5. Evaluate the health chart of a patient with Dementia  
  6. Be able to enter data into RPM for monitoring a patient with Dementia (with DMP)  
  7. Evaluate DMP data of a patient with Dementia (at critical junctions)
