Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) & Diabetes

Overview

RPM 204 - Diabetes is a common chronic illness that can be managed properly with remote patient monitoring. Learn how to educate the patient about this illness and also a disease management program to help them avoid critical danger zones.

At the end of the badge, trainees will be able to do the following:  

  1. Define diabetes  
  2. Explain the basic diagnosis/symptoms of diabetes  
  3. Explain how diabetes is a serious chronic illness but one that can be managed with monitoring  
  4. Evaluate a health chart of a patient with diabetes  
  5. Be able to enter data into RPM for monitoring of a patient with diabetes (with DMP)
  6. Evaluate DMP data of a patient with diabetes (at critical junctions)
